More-Self ("the app", package com.moreself.app) is a personal-development app from the More-Self blog. It is designed to work without collecting personal data.
What you enter stays on your device. Your name, date of birth, daily entries, habits, check-ins, reflections, programme progress, saved articles, Future Notes and settings are stored only in the app's local storage on your phone. We have no server or database and cannot see this information. We do not sell or share any data.
No account, ads or tracking. The app has no sign-in, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or third-party tracking SDKs.
Internet use. The Read tab downloads public articles from the More-Self blog (more-self.blogspot.com, hosted by Google Blogger), and keeps a copy on your phone for offline reading. These requests do not include any of your entries. Links to the shop open Payhip, and links to social profiles open those services. Their own privacy policies apply.
Notifications. If you turn on the morning or evening reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is used.
Home-screen widget (Android). The optional widget shows your day number, rhythm and today's action. It reads the same on-device data and sends nothing anywhere.
Ratings. The app may show the standard Google Play rating prompt once. This is handled by Google Play, and the app does not receive your rating.
Your control. You can export a backup (You › Settings › Export my data), restore it on a new phone, or delete everything (Delete all local data). Uninstalling the app also removes all data.
Children. The app is for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Not medical advice. The app offers personal-development exercises and is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological help.
Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
